Appreciates all the help

Published: Wednesday, December 31, 2003 8:54 AM CST
Thank you to all who helped with our Cheerleading Invitational, Oct. 25. We had great success with competition for all the schools from around the state that attended and also to our personal successes as a team. Afterwards we had a cheer clinic with the help from Pima Community College Cheer Team, where we learned more skills for the sport of cheerleading.

We could not have done it without the help from our volunteers: Dr. Andrew Mayberry, Benson Ambulance Service, to help us out if we had an emergency, thank goodness we didn't need them; Karen Knutson, Paul Parker, Nancy Gappmayer, our parent volunteers; Rachel Mayberry, Lenia Humphrey; and our student helpers, Alex Rubson and Michel Rodriquez; our DJ's Jason DeWitt, Jason Miller and Matt Anderson; our clean up and take down crew, Zac Gartin, Brandon Christianson and Mathew Kaiser; our set up crew, my family and Principal Mark Goodman and of course Jean Gregory and her expert cooking skills and the junior and senior class of our concessions; and our wonderful sponsor Larry DeHaven from Dawn De Gifts in Benson, for our beautiful trophies.

We would also like to thank all of those who helped us with our "can food drive" for the Benson Food Bank.

Coach Jo DeWitt
