Unofficial election results are in with the following tabulations:
In the most contested race, U.S. Rep. Jim Kolbe, R-Ariz., held off a challenge by Randy Graf, R-Green Valley, in the 10-term incumbent's toughest primary in some time in Congressional District 8. Kolbe garnered 33,435 votes or 57 percent to Graf's 24,893 or 43 percent. Graf did take Cochise County 5,400 to 4,768.
The Eight Congressional District 8 consists of all of Cochise County and parts of Pima, Pinal and Santa Cruz counties.
Kolbe squares off against Democrat Eva Bacal who received 3,494 or 50.73 percent of the vote.
The Cochise County Recorder's Office has 10 days to verify ballots before results become official.
In District 25, which covers the San Pedro Valley, incumbent State Senator Marsha Arzberger, D-Willcox, received 5,272 votes.
Arzberger will now face a challenge from current District 3 Cochise County Supervisor Les Thompson, who ran unopposed on the Republican side.
In the District 25 House race, Manny Alvarez, D-Elfrida, received 6,851 votes or 41 percent while Monica Perez, D-Douglas, netted 4,249 or 26 percent. Both advance to the Nov. 2 general election along with Republicans Incumbent Jennifer Burns who received 5,116 or 37 percent and David Stevens who netted 4,560 or 33 percent.
Each state house district is represented by to two delegates.
District 25 includes Benson and parts of Cochise, Maricopa, Pima, Pinal and Santa Cruz counties.
In the District 3 Cochise County Board of Supervisors race, Richard Searle received 1,101 or 44.15 percent o the votes to defeat Scott Post who had 769 or 30.83 percent on the Republican side and will face George Nerhan in the general who received 1,181 votes.
In the race for sheriff, Democrat Norm Bradley of Benson with 5,904 votes will challenge incumbent Republican Larry Dever of St. David who received 9,023 votes.
