Michael and Susan LeSueur recently returned from an 18-month service mission in the Philippines Manila Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The LeSueur's served on the rural island of Palawan, supervising 20 full-time missionaries and nine local congregations, as well as advising and counseling the community concerning health matters. Some of the more significant projects they were involved in were the facilitation and arrangement of surgeries for four children with cleft lip and palates and advising families in home hospice care. Both feel they gained a rich experience in learning the Filipino culture and loving and serving the people there. Mike is a doctor of internal medicine who retired from the San Pedro Family Care prior to his mission service and his wife, Susan, is a registered nurse.
