I'm writing this letter of thanks to Benson Hospital on behalf of my family. My father died peacefully at age 87, after more than nine years of affliction with dementia. He died in a comfortable room under the care of the nurses at Benson Hospital with direction from hospice nurse Maryann Young and Dr. Barbara Hartley.
While in their care, he was treated with respect and dignity and we, his family, with compassion.
There have been several occasions in the past when members of our family have been treated at Benson Hospital. Those occasions range from routine lab testing to a serious illness requiring a week in the hospital to a surgical procedure in the ER.
Our family very much appreciates the professionalism and care with which we were treated by the entire staff and we offer them our full support.
To nurses: Judy, Amanda, Kathy, Carmen, Sharon, Michelle, and Tom, CNAs Lanya, Emily, Sky, Dorothy and Karen, to Nicey in the ER, and Jane White, and to all of you who make a difference in the lives of your patients and their families.
