Gracie's, Holiday Inn tops

Published: Tuesday, March 10, 2009 6:35 PM CDT
My wife and I recently stopped in Benson on our way to Scottsdale. We were strangers in the city and had no clue as to where to stay or eat. We decided to try the Holiday Inn Express. It is without a doubt one of the best and cleanest we have experienced in all of our travels, and we travel a lot.

Where to eat was our next challenge. Someone suggested a recently opened restaurant called Gracie's Station. What a pleasant experience. The food and the service were better than excellent. The prime rib was done to perfection. So were the baked potato and salad. All of this was topped off with strawberry shortcake.

We usually visit Arizona at least once a year. Rest assured we will visit the city again; it is a wonderful stop - a great place to stay and eat.
