VFW National Ladies Auxiliary President Dixie Hilda visited Benson VFW Post 6271 Friday. More than 140 people, including state officers, attended. Hilda, of Omaha. Neb., took a police then motorcycle escort to the Post.
"The state banquet is usually held in Tucson or Phoenix," said Post Commander Ron DeSpain. "It's an honor for us to have been asked to host the banquet."
The banquet included dinner with Hilda delivering the keynote address.
