Troubled by Benson area gasoline prices

Published: Wednesday, May 6, 2009 10:12 AM CDT
I, like many Bensonites, feel as though we're being held hostage by our local gas stations/convenience stores.

The price of gas is routinely about .20 a gallon less in Tucson and .05-.06 less in Sierra Vista and even Willcox is a penny or two less than Benson.

I travel to these cities weekly, thus know first-hand the discrepancies in price.

Everyone says buy locally. I would if they were competitive with our surrounding area.

However I will not be cheated out of my hard-earned dollars by people taking advantage of small- town America.
