Dr. Baugh presents paper at international business conference

Dr. Joseph B. Baugh of the J-6 community recently presented a paper at an international business conference and doctoral consortium held in Lyon, France. The conference, which targeted the development of social responsibility and corporate environmental evaluation indicators within business enterprises, was co-sponsored by the Institut de Socio-Economie des Entreprises et des Organisations (ISEOR) and the Academy of Management. This unique trilingual conference was held at the University Jean Moulin Lyon and featured 117 papers and presentations selected from approximately 300 submissions. Papers that were presented are published in the conference proceedings.
Although Dr. Baugh was the primary author, he was assisted by two colleagues from Capella University who are also professors at Central Michigan University (Dr. Marilyn Harris) and the Keller Graduate School of Management (Dr. Anne Saber-Hallcom). The paper, Computer Assisted Qualitative Data Analysis Software: A Practical Perspective for Applied Research, examined the use of specialized qualitative data analysis software to develop performance metrics for social responsibility and corporate environmental evaluations.
Dr. Baugh earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and an MBA from the University of Arizona. His Ph.D. in Organization and Management with a specialization in Leadership was conferred by Capella University. He is an adjunct faculty member for Cochise College, the University of Arizona South, and the University of Phoenix where he teaches information technology and business courses. Dr. Baugh sits on doctoral dissertation committees for the University of Phoenix and Capella University, as well. He is also a longtime employee of Arizona Electric Power Cooperative, Inc. in Benson, where he is currently a manager in the Power Trading Department.
