Benson girl does well in baton twirling competition

Victoria Billiard, a Benson High School graduate, won several medals and trophies early this summer, performing in the Tournament of Champions.
The baton twirling competition is held annually in Las Vegas.
Billiard, a sophomore at the University of Arizona, represented Benson and the state well, participating in six events.
She brought home four trophies and two medals.
Billiard, the daughter of Karrii Billiard, has continued competition throughout the summer, with baton twirling events held in Tucson.
Continuing to compete has been difficult for Billiard over the last year. She had to get her body stretched and ready for competition after having emergency appendectomy surgery.
