Cheryl Mammano has been named museum director, according to a San Pedro Valley Arts and Historical Society news release.
Hired at the July 6 Board of Directors meeting, Mammano will be "organizing museum volunteers, handling public relations, setting up workshops and speakers, and managing the Art & Quilting Gallery. She will be assisted by Charlotte Sveilis, named the gallery's assistant manager.
"Look for exciting things to be happening at the museum," the news release states. "Keep in mind our quilt show at the park for Butterfield Stage Days, and our Thanksgiving weekend open house at the museum and gallery."
The museum will be closed the month of August, reopening Tuesday, Sept. 1.
