Two years after Benson Police arrested Joshua Lee Price in connection with a human skull stolen at the Cochise Gardens of Rest, a trial has yet to be held.

The skull was stolen from the mausoleum at the cemetery off State Route 80 in January 2007. After five months of investigating what police called a strange case, Price was arrested.

Price was charged with aggravated criminal damage, one count of burglary and one count of crimes against dead people.

The skull was later returned to the police in a plastic bag.

A family member of the person whose skill was stolen said it's frustrating because the case continues to drag on in Cochise County courts.

While Price was arrested in May 2007 and pleaded not guilty, he still has not had his day in court.

The case is now on its second prosecutor and second judge. The family member said there has been one delay after another.

As of last week, a new trial date was set for Dec. 7 in Sierra Vista.
