Do we really have a Constitution?

Published: Tuesday, August 4, 2009 8:35 PM CDT
Do we still have a Constitution? Let's see!

Amendment I: "Congress shall make no law respecting the establishment of religion or prohibiting the free exercise thereof." If I am correct, the courts of this land are under the power of this amendment. Yet the ACLU is trying to do away with our Christian religion by going through the courts. The courts are part of our government and have no right, I believe, to alter this amendment in any manner for the American Civil Liberties Union.

Amendment II: "The right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed." Our government is trying all kinds of maneuvers to do away with this amendment in spite of our Constitution. They are trying to take away our rights!

Amendment X: "The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the states, are reserved to the states respectively, or to the people." How did our president have the power to "fire" the CEO of the auto company or to "take the company over" to be run by our government? I don't think that our states gave the president that authority, or for that matter, authority to change our country into a socialist society, and taking away our freedoms, bypassing our Constitution!

Amendment XIII: "Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude ... shall exist within the United States." It appears to me that we have slavery throughout our country involving the labor unions. They are powerful now and, I believe, even control our president. They tell their "slaves" when they can work or when they will not work - strikes. They confiscate the slaves' money, as they desire. What ever happened to "Freedom?" Do we really still have a Constitution in our country or is it being destroyed by our government? Will we be faced with a dictator in the future? Hmmmm.

" Mr. Peterson, our constitution is just fine, thank you very much. I am so very proud to live in a country where everyone has the right to express their own views, no matter how misinformed.

Short and sweet: If you can come up with one example of the Christian religion being done away with, I'll eat my hat, lol. Likewise, no one is trying to take away your precious guns, though the thought of someone like you having a firearm truly frightens me. Sir, your rights are just fine, as are your freedoms. Slaves....labor unions....dictator? Words fail me.

No, actually they don't. Let's be honest here, it's all about race, isn't it, hmmmm. "
