Better electric rates, service in Mexico
The story about SSVEC raising our electric bills about $9 a month (News-Sun Sept. 2, 2009) is totally wrong. I get better and much cheaper service in Mexico. My wife and I are building a home down there. My electric bill was 124.98 pesos for two months - yes, two - service.
Mexico is just and maybe even a little more modern than SSVEC. I can pay my bill down there anytime, 24 hours a day with a modern machine. Their installation of my service was I'm sure cheaper than SSVEC would have been. A pole, 200 feet of wire, weather head, conduit, and labor, was about $140.

you're absolutely correct it is outrageous however with the knew an upcoming cap and trade $10 a month more well same small in comparison.
I bet Mexico does not have any sort of program such as what we're proposing taxing carbon admissions from coal burning power plants?
You're absolutely correct however we are trapped individuals is a monopoly being played by the power companies. There's nothing we can do not pay the price or turn off their service.
I am considering the latter, I will supply my own power. If a lot more individuals did that I think that protest would be heard by the power companies.
I urge everyone put in a few batteries and inverter 500 watts of solar panels
a small gas generator to power he or home in emergencies.
You will find you will save money especially in the future after cap and trade takes effect and destroys what's left of our economy. "
