Veterans Day observance
The public is invited to the annual Veterans Day observance Wednesday, Nov. 11, at 10:30 a.m. at Veterans Memorial Park on 4th Street in Benson.
VFW Post 6271 Commander David Hanson said the public is also invited to the Post Hall at 233 E. 5th St. for a potluck lunch and open house after the ceremony.
In accordance with Veterans Day, Hanson invites veterans and the public to the hall on Monday, Nov. 9, when Benson fourth-graders in Bob Singler's class write and read letters of appreciation to veterans at 12:30 p.m.
