Wal-Mart recently donated 23 books to Benson Primary School. Each teacher picked a well-behaved student as a recipient of the book, "The Very Hungry Caterpillar."

This book was part of Jumpstart's Read for the Record which was held on Oct. 8. Children around the nation all shared in reading the same book on the same day to raise public awareness of the importance of early education.

This year Benson primary students participated with more than 1 million other children, breaking Jumpstart's last year's record of 688,000.
