Nicolas Solis Rodriguez of Benson, Ariz., entered eternal life on Thursday, Nov. 5, 2009, at the age of 71. He was born on Oct. 4, 1938 in the railroad town of Sybil, Ariz. He attended Benson Public Schools and was a maintenance custodian for St. David Public Schools. Nicolas was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints - Benson Ward.
Nicolas was preceded in death by his parents, Trinidad and Juanita Rodriguez, brothers, Joe and Raul Rodriguez, sisters, Amparo Palma and Ophelia Roman. Nicolas is survived by his wife of 39 years, Isabell Rodriguez, daughters, Tina Rodriguez and Kristy (Brian) Reynolds, granddaughters, Alicia and Chloe Reynolds. Nicolas is also survived by sisters, Cecilia Barnes, Mary Rodriguez and Victoria Romero. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins and good friends.
Memorial Services will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2009, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Pomerene, Ariz. Viewing will be at 10 a.m., which is open to the public, and funeral services immediately following at 11 a.m. Burial will be at the Benson High Street Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to the American Diabetes Association.
