VICaP says thanks for fundraising
Once again, in spite of rain, the Benson area community has shown its support for our semi-annual fundraiser. Many thanks to Veronica Pesquiera, for the use of her garage for storage and use of her property for the sale. We are very grateful to our friends of VICaP for their donations: Lucy Moffit, Sherry Vander Hoek, Marilyn Atkinson, Elaine Brahm, Rosemary Stevens, Eunice DeNudt, Caroline Hall, Susan Vaughn, Tony Looney and Marilyn, and to Mark and Sherry for the use of their tables and sawhorses.
Our volunteers and friends generously donated more than 85 hours of their time to prepare for and run this sale, which has cleared more than $1,300.
This generous community support will continue to enable VICaP volunteers to transport area residents to their long distance medical appointments in Tucson, Sierra Vista and Willcox.
We have also delivered free food from the Community Food Pantry and Food Plus boxes to area residents who are unable to pick up their own. Since Jan. 1, we have traveled 19,234 miles per month.
