Investigation ongoing in rollover near Benson

Published: Tuesday, February 23, 2010 6:38 PM CST
The investigation continues into a rollover wreck on Interstate 10 west of Benson that caused traffic to back up about three miles Monday afternoon.

Traffic was delayed for about five hours after one of the two westbound lanes was blocked near mile post 292, about 10 miles west of Benson, after the wreck occurred about 2 p.m., according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety.

The single-vehicle accident occurred when the driver of a van traveling eastbound lost control of the vehicle and traveled onto the dirt median before rolling over into the westbound traffic lanes.

The two occupants were taken to a Tucson hospital.
