Jerry A. Wood, 68, died Feb. 20, 2010 at the Benson Hospital from a sudden heart attack. He was born on June 17, 1941 in Los Angeles, Calif.
Jerry served in the Navy from 1955 to 1964, and spent time on the aircraft carrier Corral Sea. He was an automobile dealer in the Orange County, California area for many years.
He moved to St. David, Ariz. in 1995. He was the founder and owner of The Country Bumpkin caf/ in St. David, and later, The Country Bumpkin Liquidators in St. David, Willcox and Bisbee.
Jerry was preceded in death by his brother Kenneth Wood, and is survived by his mother, Katherine, and step-father, Sherman Smith of Sierra Vista, Ariz.; also by his nephew Cannon Wood of Hereford, Ariz.
Memorial services will be held at Richardson's Mortuary, Benson, on March 4, 2010, at 11 a.m.
