Jay W. Bemis Jr.

May 17, 1921 - Feb. 21, 2010

Jay W. Bemis Jr. was born in Milwaukee, Wis. He served in World War II in the Army Air Corps. He was a member of the electricians union for 61 years, and K6RUX Ham Radio silent key.

He is survived by his wife, Maxine Bemis, daughter Michel Dobyns, stepdaughters, Sylvia Hefley, Roberta Carper and Sharon Stevenson, 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

" As Jay Bemis only child I never knew him until 1988 when I was 43 years old. We got to know each other pretty well over the past 22 years and found we share a lot of interests and hobbies. He was a sweet man and I'm sure he is now at peace. "
