Grateful, appreciative of community's aid

Published: Tuesday, March 16, 2010 6:18 PM CDT
We, the family of Pamela Harlan, convey our deepest thanks and gratitude to all who volunteered their time and services for Pamela's memorial. The following need special thanks: The Arena for being so understanding and flexible when the weather changed our plans. Radio Shack for the loan of the flat-screen TV and DVD player, as well as a huge thanks to Ray Johnson for delivering and setting up all of the equipment. Pomerene Elementary School for the loan of all the risers, tables, and all of the chairs, not to mention your support and understanding to your students, Paydon and Brannon. Arnold's Flowers for the flowers and plants that were so beautiful. Flower's on 4th for the loan of the gorgeous easel as well as the beautiful arrangements. The Cordova family for the program inserts and helping to keep us sane during this time. The Gussa family for the amazing food and moral support. Gary and Bree Curtis from The Little Homestead for the sweet, soft music you provided. Community Bible Church for providing so many of the desserts. The Edington family for providing all of the amazingly tasty pies.

To all of those who worked so hard to help us on the day of the service, we cannot begin to thank you enough. The support and love you have shown us has been unbelievable. Pamela loved this community with all her heart, so seeing the hundreds of you willing to go out of your way to honor her was more then we could have asked for. We appreciate your willingness to honor her wishes by donating to: Tony Franz ALS fund in Memory of Pamela Harlan at National Bank of Arizona. The fight to cure ALS was her new passion.

Pamela touched so many hearts in her everyday life that we ask you take whatever love, kindness and joy she gave you and pay it forward. Every day try to be part of her legacy by showing compassion, understanding, fortitude, exuberance, and love. She would have been so proud to be remembered in this way.

We will miss her dearly.

Once again we, her family, thank you.

David Harlan, Stephanie, Jereme, Paydon and Brannon Fletcher,

Janet Dworsky, Jon and Diane McCommas, Ruth and Hector Cruz,

aunts, cousins and extended family
