Former fire chief cited; report in error

Former Mescal/J-Six Fire District Chief Warren Neff has been cited on a charge of domestic violence after an apparent altercation with his wife, in which she claims to have been threatened at gunpoint.
Deputies responded to the couple's home in the 1000 block of N. Tequila Trail Tuesday, March 9 at about 11:41 p.m., according to a Cochise County Sheriff's Office news release. The release states "the wife [Terri Jo Neff] sustained bruising to her right knee and complained of pain to the back side of her right knee," a result of her falling after allegedly being shoved, prompting the victim to file an order of protection.
However her statement in the order of protection form describes more than just a shoving match.
"I was threatened at gunpoint, told that if I tried to leave the house I'd be shot." She goes on to say she was "physically assaulted by grabbing my neck and also pushing me to the ground. I was taken to the Benson Hospital by (the sheriff's office). X-rays - diagnosed with a sprained knee. I am fearful that Warren will follow through on his threats to shoot me. I also need to get my car and belongings from his house," she stated.
Warren resigned as fire chief from the fire department in November. A new chief has not been selected, said Chris Bernal, who is currently managing the district as deputy chief. The News-Sun erred in a March 17 report when it referred to Neff as chief.
Terri Jo is the current chairman of the Mescal/J-Six Fire District Board, and is facing embezzlement charges for allegedly stealing $49,480 of dollars from former employer Mescal Auto. Her trial is set for April in Cochise County Superior Court in Bisbee.
Terri Jo is the former executive director of the Benson/San Pedro Valley Chamber of Commerce. She also had submitted stories as a free-lancer published in the News-Sun.
In 2008, the Cochise County Board of Supervisors approved creation of the Mescal/J-Six Fire District where Terri Jo serves on the board.
As a district, property owners are now responsible for paying for fire and emergency medical assistance. All residents pay by having a portion of their property taxes taken out to fund the district needs.

" Hmmmm, who will she blame this on?
It wasn't her fault, this is always a given with Terri Jo. So what got into Warren that he would treat his little lady like this?
Stayed tuned for the next unbelievable explanation coming from the dynamic victim at her best.
Timing is everything. Double hmmmm. "

It is not tabloid journalism when the Chairman of a government entity is under indictment for felonies
and whose personal life is a seeming mess.
Maybe Thelma will follow up and find out what the bruhaha was all about. That may prove to be very interesting. "
