Benson Historical Museum: The Benson Museum is beginning the new Fall Season on Sept. 3, with new exhibits as well as 12 permanent exhibits. The Museum is seeking volunteers to help in several areas. Docents are needed to help conduct tours, one four-hour shift per week. Volunteers are also needed in the office and for facility maintenance. USMC/Legion breakfast: The Marine Corps Detachment and Legion Riders Are hold their monthly breakfast on the first Saturday monthly, Sept. 7, 8 to 10 a.m., serving biscuits and gravy, eggs, sausage, coffee or juice. Cost is $6.

Operation Christmas Child: Volunteers with Good Samaritan’s Purse are gathering shoeboxes for underprivileged children and filling them with hygiene items and school supplies, and the story of Jesus.
