BENSON — A Benson man faces federal human smuggling charges following his arrest near Willcox.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection did not identify the arrested man via the Wednesday afternoon news release announcing the incident it described as an attempted “human smuggling event.”
Agents patrolling near Willcox observed “vehicles” circumvent the U.S. Border Patrol checkpoint on State Route 191. A subsequent stop of a Chevy Silverado pickup truck resulted in detainment of six people on “immigration violations,” two of whom were discovered hidden beneath plywood and other construction equipment, BP described as a “dangerous location.” Agents also seized a loaded shotgun and handgun.
The driver faces federal human smuggling charges, according to CBP.

So, who did this? Was this someone who needed more "low-paid workers" ? Someone needing money? Names and motive - we need to know more! These snippets of news are too short!
