Gracey Crockett was in on the act at last year’s Summer Reading Program performance by James Reid Juggler Extraordinaire who kicks off this year’s program Thursday at Benson Public Library.

The Summer Reading program has proven an effective way to provide youngsters with fun entertainment, while bringing patrons and awareness to what Benson Public Library has to offer.

This year’s program kicks off Thursday at 10:30 a.m. with James Reid Juggler Extraordinaire. James is no stranger to the city’s summer reading program. His high energy and juggling prowess have delighted many a local audience.

“Libraries Rock,” is theme for the annual program. There is no charge to attend any of the program events, however boys and girls must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

The presentations are a collaboration between Benson Public Library, Friends of the Benson Library and held through City of Benson’s summer recreation program. Activities are scheduled the next three weeks. Join in June 20 for the Magical Mr. Rose with Arts and Crafts on June 27. All events begin at 10:30 a.m. performances are scheduled for a 10:30 a.m. start.
