Spotlight Business

Pato Blanco RV Resort is this month’s Benson | San Pedro Valley Chamber of Commerce “Business in the Spotlight.” A letter from T.L. Wing was the deciding factor. “We could not have received a better reception to Benson than what Pato Blanco has given us,” he wrote.

Managers Jim and Betty Stuart came from the winters of Montana to Benson to help a friend manage the Resort. That was over 11 years ago and they’re planning on staying at least another eleven years.

The Resort accommodates travelers from everywhere, though recently they’re mostly from Wisconsin and Canada. New visitors are easily absorbed into the unique community that is Pato Blanco. The Park has something for everyone: from swimming to local hikes and dinner theatre to desert four-wheeling. They just had a rollicking Super Bowl Party, hosting 50 RVers. And don’t forget the spring-fed ponds that attract a variety of feathered visitors. Betty says they keep a busy schedule but it’s a fascinating business because of the folks that call Pato Blanco home for a season. “After all,” Betty explained: “We’re not in the RV business; we’re in the people business.”
