St. David Pioneer Day: The place for friends, families, history, food, and fireworks July 19-20 on or near the St. David School grounds, Hwy. 80, St. David. Events include historical presentations, parade, games, pioneer activities, engine show, barbecue luncheon, family foot rodeo, evening vendors, youth football, music, prizes, quilt drawing, and fireworks.
Vendors sought: Craft and food vendors are sought for the Saturday evening Pioneer Days activities, 5-9 p.m., Saturday, July 20, on the St. David High School football field. Hundreds will gather for an evening of youth football, music, prizes, and a grand finale fireworks display. Vendor registration fee is $10 (benefits St. David Schools PTO) and an item worth at least $10 to be used for the fireworks fund drawings that evening. 2019 Heritage Quilt drawing: A queen size quilt, in pinks, blues, beige, and cream colors and valued at $1,500, will be awarded just before the fireworks at St. David Pioneer Days on Saturday, July 20. Winner need not be present to win, and the proceeds benefit the rehabilitation of St. David Schools’ historic 1938 Elementary Building and Lansing Auditorium. Tickets are $5 or 3 for $10, 7 for $20, or 20 for $50, and can be purchased at the event or prior at the St. David School office, Michelle’s Hair Corral in St. David, Benson Feed, the Benson Museum, or by calling Wilda at (520) 720-9440.
