The following statement is from Benson Hospital CEO Julia Strange:

We want to inform you about our ongoing work to address the COVID-19 public health crisis. It is important for you to hear from us that we are taking this very seriously.

As we respond to the rapidly developing situation, we have made the difficult decision to no longer allow visitors to the medical floor and in the Emergency Department. Exceptions will be made for pediatric patients in the Emergency Department, who will be allowed one visitor.

We will also discontinue all walk-in appointments for Laboratory and Imaging on weekends.

All patients who walk-in for appointments during the week will be screened before entrance to the hospital.

Scheduled appointments will continue at this time and all patients will be screened in advance of their appointment.

Benson Hospital Care Clinic in Safeway is being closed for the foreseeable future. The Care Clinic staff will be working from the hospital beginning Monday.

We will post updates as we have them. We are standing strong for our community and we appreciate your understanding of these changes.
