Patrick (Rick) R. Herbert died July 28, 2019 to live again. Rick was born in Waterbury, Conn., Oct 1958. He lived in Germany his teen years and graduated from Puerto Rico high school. He received his Bachelor’s from the University of Phoenix.

Rick moved to Tucson, Ariz. in 1982. The next 35 years were spent mostly in construction. He traveled all over the U.S. working on the CDC in Atlanta to almost every building on the U of A campus.

Rick and his wife, Verla. moved to Benson in April of 2016. There he started his “dream” of having his carpentry business, “Patriot Carpentry.” Living in Benson was one of the highlights of his life. There wasn’t a person he didn’t like and his friends became numerous. He embraced everything Benson, from cowboy boots and hats to the two-step and waltz. He loved the DANCE!

Rick’s living family includes: four daughters, three sons, 16 grandchildren, five brothers and three sisters.

He will be truly missed, but with the assurance of Christ we will see him again.

A “Celebration of Life” will be held at the San Pedro Valley Resort Community Center (1110 S. State, Rt 80), Benson, on Sept. 7, 2019 at 3 p.m. Refreshments and dancing to follow.
