Abraham K. Mullen
March 16, 1979 — June 27, 2019
While Abraham was born in San Diego in 1979, by 1981 he had moved to Arizona. He spent a brief time in Benson in 1991 but returned to Tucson until his senior year of high school when he returned to Benson, lettered in Drama and graduated. Abraham attended Cochise College where he held office in the PTK honor society and earned an AA. He began his career as a Behavior Health Tech in 2004 at the SEABHS PHF in Benson. At the time of his passing Abraham was employed at the Crisis Response Center in Tucson, and was earning a certification in Somatic Experiencing, an alternative therapy aimed at relieving PTSD and other trauma-related health problems.
Friends and family are invited to join together and honor Abraham’s life at a memorial celebration on Saturday, Aug. 10, 2019, at 1 p.m., at Villa Hermosa, 2300 E. Speedway, on the southeast corner of Speedway and Wilmot in Tucson. Additional parking: 6622 E. Speedway, east of Villa Hermosa.
Abraham’s engagement with several spiritual traditions will be reflected by brief prayers and ceremonies from each. Then we will share memories and stories. Since Abraham loved music and dance, these will be interspersed into our time of prayer and personal sharing, ending with light refreshments.
