ST. DAVID — The Tigers will have ample court time to prepare for region play upon return from the holiday break.

St. David will host Tohono O’Odham Jan. 10 in a 7 p.m. region game, for the Tigers’ first league game of the New Year. The Tigers travel to Superior on Jan. 6, to Benson on Jan. 7 and host Bisbee on Jan. 9.

The Tigers played in the Eastern Arizona College Boys’ 57th Annual Holiday Tournament, dropping their first two tournament games, 58-45, to Pima on Dec. 16, followed by a 57-47 loss Tuesday [Dec. 17] to Duncan.

St. David enters the holiday break looking for some sort of sustained footing headed into the bulk of the region game schedule.

The Tigers will look for Kason Jacquez to continue to play strong inside which could serve to help create perimeter openings for St. David guards Reo Larson and Robby Gooding.
