BENSON — The Benson ladies will be tested early upon return from the holiday break, hosting St. David in a non-league game on Tuesday [Jan. 7], followed by a region game with Jan. 9 at Thatcher. Each game tips at 5:30 p.m.

The Bobcats enter play following the break holding a respectable 8-4 record overall, 2-2 in league play.

Benson, winners in the last three, will look for a better result than the previous meeting with the Lady Tigers in the recent championship game of the Benson Holiday Tournament.

It’s been a solid start to the season so far for coach Robert Bristow and the Bobcats who continue to show steady improvement.

The Jan. 9 game at Thatcher is the first of two league games. The Bobcats host Morenci on Jan. 14 then travel to San Miguel in Tucson on Jan. 16. Each game is set for a 5:30 p.m. start.
